Moens Gård is an isolated homestead with gray, untreated old wooden buildings. The farm has a farmhouse, a barn, a granary and a few other adjacent buildings. The buildings are from the 1800s or even earlier.
The houses have been restored in recent years, by private initiatives. The land has been farmed for generations, with old traditional methods of cultivation. The farm is a rare and well-preserved example of traditional small-scale agriculture. The farm's settlements are listed as significant cultural remains.
The primeval forest by Moens Gård was declared a nature reserves in 1975 which has since been expanded to the current 22 hectares. The forest is a bilberry spruce forest with pines up to 300 years old. Spruces are slightly younger, around 200 years.
