Färjans Ö is situated in lake Vidöstern. The island is perfect for hiking and picnics and is originally an old farming district that is still farmed and grazed.
The low-lying pastures, that now lie under water, offer plenty of food for nesting and migrating birds. The only way to reach Färjans Ö is by boat. You can rent a canoe at Värnamo Camping or at the E4-camping in Ljungby.
Store Mosse is a national park that comprises the largest untouched marshland south of Lappland. The park is 15 x 12 km in extent, and the vegetation here is similar to that of the wilderness of Norrland. The park offers more than 40 km of trails and boardwalks.
