Kärda local history society was founded in 1939. The historic museum comprises four buildings and a collection of items, including a complete equipment for receiving water and bog ore. The museum is located next to the church and a graveyard from the late Iron Age.
At Kärda historic museum there is an old log cabin, also 3 other cabins. 2 of the 4 cottages are built on its original place. Can be shown by arrangement.
Store Mosse is a national park that comprises the largest untouched marshland south of Lappland. The park is 15 x 12 km in extent, and the vegetation here is similar to that of the wilderness of Norrland. The park offers more than 40 km of trails and boardwalks.
